Dr. Visswas Paanse is very creative. He dares to dream big. My interaction with him dates back to early 90’s. I was a fledging consultant and Dr. Paanse was a willing maverick to throw me challenges, which sowed the seeds of a holistic approach to problem solving I always admire his daring to think. Yes, thinking needs guts. I found his attitude and skills more suited as a Consultant than someone who runs a business. I used to know Dr. Paanse as a young and budding professional from 1985. I am seeing him as young & enthusiastic even after 35 years which is a very rare attribute! "As a person who had just come back from U.S.A., with due discussions with the Industry facing bad times there, I was thinking of attending many such seminars here on SME’s – which talk of SME’s Importance as it is and their Problems. At that same time Mrs. Aarti Sharma approached me and showed me Dr. Paanse’s CV. It had the impressive Emblem on top which said “Udayam Jyota Pradipakam”, and I thought that let us hear this Proud Indian. Secondly Rotary is a conglomerate of Business and Professional people who so often silently suffer if they are making losses and they hence might get some tips, to correct their path through his lecture, was my view. The one utmost benefit the Industry Captain’s derived through his talk was that “Yes” there is someone like Dr. Paanse who can save their Industry from Bank rogues. There has not been an example to my knowledge that the Industrialist worked for the downfall of his Industry or making losses. But the banks who have achieved so much while the same Industry was doing well has turned it’s back while problems exist and that also by giving the person 90 day notice, which is too short a period for such a person to correct his many year’s path, realize his mistake and make a comeback. His advice of stop Bank Payments first was the right kind of advice but SME should take all the actions under his guidelines as he is an Industry and Legal expert too. I have already informed how valuable his guideline in the above paragraphs is for SME Industry pertaining to NPA. His guidance tells the Banks to give enough time to the entrepreneur for recovery process and in him the Industry has got an Intelligent and real advisor in NPA matters. Dr. Paanse gave an extremely Educative and Informative lecture and he also has that extra knack of confidence building in the SME Owners, that they are not alone in fighting their battles with Debtors and Creditors. In fact the Industrialist hence will be able to rehabilitate with properly negotiated deals which will satisfy all those who worked as sub – contractors, etc. and not loose this SME." GREAT JOB SIR! While negotiating the One Time Settlement with a very adamant and rigid nationalized bank, we decided to take help of Dr Panse. He got through the top management and cracked a deal in just under one month. We completed the entire process of fund management, offer, negotiations, payment and closure very fast. The advantage here was that Dr Panse being a banker himself, knows banking and the inner procedural intricacies. He being an advisor to All India MSME Association and SME Chamber of India understands industry, business, related problems and needs. Hence he could analyze the problem and work out the workable solution very fast, incidentally which also included finance. All our needs were taken care under a single roof and real quick. I stood as a guarantor to one loan in a Co-op Bank. As the principle borrower could not repay three subsequent installments, account was declared as NPA by the Bank. The Bank recovery process started and was on a fast track as the loan amount was huge i.e. around Rs. 1.7 cr. Being guarantor, I was also pulled in the recovery process and was issued notices.
Finally, the Hon. Co-Op Court, issued award in favor of the Bank and then Bank initiated their recovery process. Today, Co-Op Banks can initiate the recovery action against guarantor along with the main borrower, and, accordingly, I was served the recovery notice whereby the Bank issued salary attachment notice to me.
With this sudden action, I was really baffled and was under a shock. At that point, one of my friend advised me to visit Dr.Visswas He simply said, you just go and meet him and you may get solution there.

When I went to him, I was totally down and somehow could explain him entire situation. I have also shown the papers related to matter to him.
Initially, he mentioned, you are already late but he would be able to help me. With this sentence, I was more worried, however, after this he spent 20 minutes explaining me the entire process and method through which the solution can be arrived.
He gave me a solution, by just hearing this solution, I was really happy and tense free. He explained the process, time lines and charges involved, which I found very reasonable. I immediately accepted and requested him to go ahead in the direction shown by him.
He got the desired result as mentioned within the time lines mentioned by him. Although, I was late, going to him, I got the stay for my salary attachment recovery within 3-4 days. I was really happy.
I think going to him was the best possible and perfect solution. I must say, the 20 minutes initial time spent by me with Dr.Visswas, gave me immense confidence. He is really an authority in the subject. He delivers what he says, within the prescribed time. He himself is so confident and motivating, you feel rest assured about your results.
I must say, HE IS REALLY A GENIUS.
I was highly Impressed by Dr. Visswas advice and it has given me Moral boost and it has regain my Confidence in dealing with Banks for N PA problems. And I was also successful in giving legal reply to the bank . The banker always Manipulate the borrower on legal issues for which the borrower are not self sufficient in legal knowledge ,for which Dr.Visswas advice is very good, It has also given me temporary relief from the banker strict follow up and it has given me the time to think of my problem and how to come out of it. And now I am in the position to focus on my business and work out the settlement with the Bank in the future.
Dr. Paanse had stood very strongly with me when I was undergoing a very bad phase in my life 4 years ago. I was mentally depressed and lost all hopes of surviving in business to the extent I had decided to commit suicide as I was frustrated due to the harassment by the bank and other creditors. Incidentally, Dr. Paanse was referred to me by my close friend who had come across his advertisement in Economic Times. I seeked his appointment and visited him along with my friend. He patiently heard me for 45 minutes. Later he started analysing my situation by asking me various questions. During the process I started realizing that my problem was not so grave as I was perceiving it to be as Dr. Visswas had suggested simple ways and means to resolve it.
He gave me few Advices :
1. Dont fear NPA
2. Dont pay bank under pressure
3. Business is the only gateway to generate funds to pay the debts in due course of time
4. Bank is not the only way to raise finance
He gave me comfort in 2 ways:
1. Showed way to safeguard my only residence and my factory which was my biggest worry
2. Seeing the potential of my business, he assured that he shall facilitate in arranging finance by remodeling my business plan and also through other alternate sources.
Solutions provided:
In a span of about 3 months from the date of my first visit I was completely normal and worked as per his guidance. Dr. Paanses team would guide me in routine matters. NPA Consultants has a very efficient team. They drafted necessary replies to the notices and represented before the Bank in capacity of my consultants whenever required. Their intervention helped to put my point forth strongly before my bankers and seek necessary approvals from them which I could never do myself.
